Educational and Organizational Support for Radiation
Oncology Nurses and Teams Adopting Procedural, Anesthesia and Perioperative
Practices: The Adopt, Adapt, Build Methodology
Radiation Oncology departments are transitioning to
procedural, anesthesia and perioperative areas, through the addition of
brachytherapy, hydrogel spacers, balloon spacers, fiducial placement, and both
adult and pediatric anesthesia. Due to Radiation Oncology belonging to the
ambulatory/clinic setting, there is little to no guidance on how to manage this
transition from an operational and educational standpoint. This webinar is
designed for not only nurses in leadership roles, but physicians, RTTs, office managers,
operations managers and other members of the healthcare team as the departments
undergo this transition. Not only will team members need education, but
policies and procedures must also be developed for patient safety, quality, and
regulatory purposes. Please join us today to hear about the Adopt, Adapt, Build
Methodology, developed by one nurse to help simplify, explain and organize this
transition for any Radiation Oncology department.
